Out-of-Network Therapy Services
Playful Connection Counseling is an out-of-network provider for insurance plans. However, many insurance carriers offer out-of-network benefits that may cover the cost of therapy services. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about out-of-network coverage for mental health services.
To assist with this process, here are the CPT codes typically used for different session lengths:
- 90837: Individual Therapy, 60 minutes (53 minutes and over)
- 90834: Individual Therapy, 45 minutes (38-52 minutes)
- 90832: Individual Therapy, 30 minutes (16-37 minutes)
- 90846: Family Therapy, without patient present
- 90847: Family Therapy, with patient present
- 90791: Intake Session
Clients are scheduled for a 55-minute clinical hour.
Payment for Services
As an out-of-network provider, payment for services is due at the time of the session. This is considered a “cash pay” service. If you’re using insurance or an FSA/HSA, I can provide you with a superbill after each session or on a monthly basis. If you need a superbill more frequently, please let me know, and I can accommodate that request.

- Intake Session (60 minutes): $300 per session
